Appalachian State University Basketball Band
Our award-winning basketball band performs at both men’s and women’s basketball home games throughout the late fall and entire spring semester, and can be taken for course credit. Please contact Associate Director of Bands, Dr. Jason Gardner, for more information on this fantastic group!
The Basketball Band has evolved into a highly energized group of musicians who lend their musical abilities and school spirit to create a “home court advantage” for the Appalachian Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams. The Basketball Band is open to all students, regardless of major.
The Basketball Band performs at all Men's and Women's basketball games throughout the season. We will have 2-3 bands, so everyone may not play all the games. The Basketball Band will also travel to the Sun Belt Conference Tournament!
No auditions are required for wind players! Drum Set and Bass Guitar players will have auditions. Please contact the Conducting GAs or Dr. Gardner for audition materials!
